Summer Fun!

What's better than going to the movies on a hot summer day? How about going to a FREE movie! Sumer and I took the kids to see The Tale of Despereaux.

Splish! Splash!

There's a cool park near our house that the boys just love! It has a splash pad and a great playground. Great for a summer day!

S'More Fun!

After a fun day on the lake, I was ready to come home, shower and watch a movie. The boys had other plans...
Hot dogs, stew beef, and s'mores around the fire pit. Avery and Bryson REALLY enjoyed the s'mores! Riley's favorite part is , of course, playing in the fire!!

PawPaw Knee Boarding!

After Jeremy and Riley got on the kneeboard today, Paw Paw decided to take a turn. Riley said, "I give him 5 seconds!" He held on much longer and his wipe out was GREAT!

Riley's Wipeout!

Riley did great knee boarding, but his wipe out was even better! We told him he was "belly boarding"!

Fun on the Lake!

The boys had a great time on the ski boat today. They LOVED the speed! Riley did great kneeboarding and Jeremy proved that he's still got it!

Hoppy Toads & Hide-n-Seek

Riley's friend Thomas came over this week. We went to the playground and the boys found tiny little frogs and a big fat toad! It took a very firm "NO!" to convince Riley that they couldn't bring them home with us. After that, we went to the library to check out a few movies and some summer reading books. As always, they had to play a quick game of hide-n-seek in the library's garden before we left!

Let Freedom Ring!!

We had a great time yesterday, celebrating July 4th on the boat with Buddy, Sumer and the girls! We went out on the boat around 4 pm and didn't come home til after 11pm! The fireworks at Queens Landing were fun, but our favorite part was grilling hot dogs on the boat, swimming and looking for our "dream house"! (See pic of mine and Sumer's!!) Makyla got a little chilly, so her daddy helped turn her into a mermaid, Bryson was really brave and loved jumping off the boat, and Riley had some sweet Elvis hair going on after he jumped in the water! Tonight we brought out the sparklers for the boys. Avery loved them, Bryson was a little wary of fire in his hands and fire-in-your-hands is the very reason Riley LOVED it!! Note: please ignore the fact that Riley is holding a sparkler in one hand and a box of matches in the other! We don't let him play with matches...he always uses a lighter:)
