Warning: This Story Contains Nudity

I walked outside, in the rain, to get the trash cans and the recycle bin out by the mailbox. I opened the mailbox, took out the mail and slid it in the back of my jeans, so it wouldn't get wet. I came inside, put down the mail, carried out the trash, and walked back over to the table to see what we got in the mail. An earwig ran across the magazine I had just received. Of course I screamed and tossed it outside. I went on to start cleaning the kitchen, when about 5 minutes later, I felt something sticking my leg a little. I immediately thought of the bug-and dropped the jeans right there in front of the dishwasher! Bug # 1 fell out, I screamed. After bugs 2 and 3, I was hysterical and completely naked in my kitchen! Jeremy came running, laughing all the way. I yelled for the boys to stay upstairs while Jeremy killed bugs and searched my clothes that were strewn all around the kitchen for more bugs. Since we had just finished lunch, he made some stupid crack about "Dinner and a show". Not funny at the time. Needless to say, I have a serious case of the Heebie-Jeebies and I'll not be checking the mail again for awhile.

Still Winning!!!

Ry's team won again today:) 21-12
One more win and they'll be undefeated!! The pictures are a little fuzzy, but I love the look on his face! I took him and Avery to sign up for baseball today. I'm not crazy about "outdoor" sports. I like indoor, climate-controled events, but I'm excited to see how this new sports adventure turns out!

HELP!!!

Pomade should have a warning label. "Don't put this in the thick long hair of little white boys!!" This is a nightmare! We're coming up on 20 shampoo sessions with Riley's hair and that crap is still not washing out! It's stiff and oily looking and I have no idea what to do about it. We've tried DAWN dish washing liquid, clarifying shampoo, various "grown-up" shampoos and my favorite, a paste of baking soda and vinegar. (see photo) I will NEVER be so adventurous again.

Two Wild and Crazy Guys!

Crazy hair day is always a much anticipated event at school for the boys. They pay a dollar to raise $$ for the school and get to wear their hair crazy. Riley begs me to let him go without a hair cut for a LONG time so he'll have enough for this little number we did today. We used pomade, although it wasn't Dapper Dan, the brand that George Clooney used in O Brother, Where Art Thou! It really smells, but it did the trick. We topped it off with white hairspray for Riley and red for Avery. Haircuts for everyone this weekend!!!

Where does he come up with this Stuff?

Yesterday as I was getting ready to go pick up the boys from school, Bryson walked into my bathroom and was watching me put on my make-up. He likes to ask me what each thing is used for. When I picked up the eyeliner, he asked what it was for. I told him it was for drawing lines on my eyelids. "Oh", was the respose. He stood there, just watching me until I finished both eyes. Then, acting relieved he said, "Mommy, at first when you were putting it on, I thought it looked kinda TRASHY. But since you opened up your eyes, you look a lot better."
Yes...I live in a house full of men.

WHAT?!!?

When I was pregnant with Bryson, I watched A Baby Story on TLC everyday, until the day that 3 1/2 year old Riley saw it and was shocked that "Mommies poop out the baby?!" Since he was so young and I had no earthly idea what to say at that moment, I went with that idea. Fast forward 5 years to last Wednesday. Out of the blue, Riley's curiosity returns. Here is how the conversation went:
Riley: "Mama, you know how a mommy has to poop out the baby? I bet that hole has to stretch A LOT!"
Me: (shocked and at a total loss for words) "Well, son, mommies don't really poop out the baby. There is another hole for that."
Ry: "WHAT?!!? Can you see it?!
Me: "Yes, but it has to stretch, too. Heavenly Father made a mommy's body that when it goes into labor, little by little, that hole gets bigger until the baby can come out of it."
Ry: "Man, mama, I bet that hurts worse than gettin' shot by a paintball gun!"
Me: "Son, it hurts worse than pulling a paintball gun out of your nose. Sideways."

Old Pics-Sweet Memories...

I found these pictures on an old memory card we had. The baby is my brother's youngest, Makyla, who will be four this year! They made me smile, but also made me a little sad...

Go-Kart Krazy!

The boys finally got to try out the go-kart their uncle David gave them. I think Jeremy likes it better than the boys do!

Another Win: 33-28!!!

Still undefeated! It was a really good game. Ry took 2 foul shots:)

We're off to discover!!!

After the gluttonous meal at Red Robin, Jeremy came home and took a nap. The boys and I walked down to the lake and explored a bit. The water is way down, so they played on the shore and attempted to skip rocks.

After Game Celebration!

We went to Red Robin to celebrate Ry's win in basketball. The food is fabulous! Not cheap, but really good. The boys really enjoyed their food, but got seriously full! You can tell by the looks on their faces!

Another Game...Another Win!!!

Still Winning! Ry's team won, again, 21-8!!!

Basketball and Skunk Skins

Riley's 4th game and 4th win!!! 18-14. Undefeated so far:) The team they beat was undefeated, too, so right now, his team is #1!

After the game, we took my van to get new tires. We ate lunch at Cookout and went to Gander Mountain sporting goods store to pass the time. The boys liked the (seriously disgusting!) animal pelts and they had sword fights in the Tire Kingdom parking lot to pass the time.

Blizzard '09?

We had a little snow the other day. The boys were disappointed that there wasn't enough to call off school:( Not even a delay. Maybe next time.

Super Bowl

I couldn't care less about football. But, it's all about the food and the commercials. The kids have fun together and as you can see, Buddy and Sumer just love a good party:)
