Flutterby

Avery went on his first field trip of the year to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. It was beautiful! Avery loved having butterflies land on him and his best friend, Garrett. Caterpillars were everywhere and the fountains and flowers were beautiful! The willow maze was a huge hit, but they were running through it too fast to get a picture!!

Fall Fun!

I love fall weather! It's not blazing hot, crisp, but not cold. Great day for being outside! Yesterday, we went to some yard sales, then to the Fall Fest at our local public library. The boys painted pumpkins, had face paintings done, and the "best part" of their day-the fire truck! The fireman let them climb inside, blow the horn, showed them all the different tools (jaws of life are cool!) and best of all, Riley & Avery got to start the engine!! After we got home, it was time for bike riding and skateboarding. They played TWISTER, too, but I'm not allowed to post pics because they were wearing their underwear!!

Cute Quotes...

Riley: Zoie is in preschool now, right?
Me: Yes.
Riley: They should make Donna pay $100 a day for all the trouble Zoie is gonna cause!

Avery: Mama, Sawyer is just a little bit cuter than Shadow.
Avery, after holding Sawyer for the 2nd time: Okay, Sawyer is A LOT cuter than Shadow!

Riley was diagnosed w/ acid reflux and is having to learn how to swallow a pill instead of chew it up. He has to take them for a month, then stop to see if his symptoms go away. After 5 or 6 failed attempts for me to flick it in the back of his throat, it finally went down. He gagged and choked and said: It's gonna be a long month!

Riley, when Shadow jumped on his back and unleashed her inner "Mississippi Leg Hound": YeeHaw! Giddy up Cowboy!!

Boring Book?

The boys are allowed to read in bed at night, as long as they are quiet. This is how I found Bryson tonight when I went to check to see if they were asleep yet!

More Sawyer...

The boys can't get enough of this little guy!!

September 2009

Apparently, September was very uneventful! I went through all my pics and there was nothing to talk about. With one exception- my first nephew was born! The boys finally have a boy cousin! Everyone in the family is totally in love with Sawyer Campbell McKee. He was born 9-29-09 at 3:56am. 7 lbs, 13.5 oz. and 20.5 inches long.

August 2009

Okay. yes, I admit it. I am a slacker! I let 2 entire months go by without a single entry! I promise to do better from now on! August was a busy month around here!! We went to the beach and my family and Jeremy's were all there. The boys love playing with all their cousins. Bryson lost his bottom 2 front teeth!! The 2nd while waiting in line for his first Ferris wheel ride!! We got a new puppy. Her name is Shadow and we adopted her from the Humane Society. The boys adore her and she's kinda growing on Jeremy and I, too! She thinks she runs the house and has even tried to sleep with Bryson a few times! Riley received his Bear rank in scouts. All the boys went back to school. Bryson started KINDERGARTEN!!! I think I cried more than him! It's been a month now, and he's finally going without me walking him in and no tears!!! We also went out on the lake for one last time before it got too cold! We got a new tube and the kids loved it. Shadow loves a good boat ride, too. She's not too sure about the water yet!
