Tropical Storms, Hermit Crabs and Death by Chocolate...

The day started off not looking very promising. I took the boys down to the shore while we let Daddy sleep in. It looked like Tropical Storm Faye was knocking at our door. Very dark and VERY windy, but the boys were here to play, so we went. In some of the pics you can see the only rays of sunshine that were to be found this morning. We came back and had lunch, then I went for a run while the boys and Jeremy watched Spy Kids. Then we got out the sunscreen and headed for the beach. The sun came out bright and beautiful and the boys made sand angels and played with Daddy for a couple of hours while I just laid there and relaxed! I almost finished an entire magazine!!! Becky and Randy got here this afternoon. We grilled burgers for supper then went out past Fort Fisher to a place called "The Rocks". Evidently it's a good fishing spot, with a huge rock wall that you can walk on when it's low tide. We walked out a little way, and the boys discovered that hermit crabs don't come from the WINGS store down the street. They actually come from the WILD!!! They had a collection of about 20, but we got it down to one each to bring home to join the other 4 we already have at home. In the pictures you can see them on the rocks and also hanging on the grass and weeds after dark. After we got home, we all walked up to the Tastee Freeze for some "Death By Chocolate"!
